Chemical Resistant FRP Vinyl Ester Resin for Storage Tanks

Chemical Resistant FRP Vinyl Ester Resin for Storage Tanks

This resin is specifically developed for fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) filament-wound storage tanks, vertical storage vessels, sewage reaction tanks, and acid/alkali storage tanks. It serves as a dedicated matrix resin for tank liners and monolithic filament-wound structures, compatible with both major manufacturing processes: automated continuous filament winding and hand lay-up lining.

Its molecular chain features a stable Bisphenol-A structure that significantly reduces the likelihood of ester bond hydrolysis; compared to ortho-phthalic or standard iso-phthalic resins, it offers vastly superior resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, and hydrolysis.

Chemical Resistant FRP Vinyl Ester Resin Overview

With viscosity optimized for fiberglass winding lines and excellent fiber wetting properties, the resulting tanks are impermeable, resistant to delamination, and durable. It is widely used in manufacturing tanks for moderately corrosive media in industries such as chemicals, printing and dyeing, electroplating, municipal sewage treatment, and seawater storage.

PLM-3301 is a premium epoxy vinyl ester resin specifically developed for automated continuous filament winding... As a top-tier frp vinyl ester resin, it offers vastly superior resistance to acids and alkalis, making it the ultimate matrix material for chemical storage tanks.

Chemical Resistant FRP Vinyl Ester Resin Core Performance Advantages

Heat & Hydrolysis Resistance

High heat and hydrolysis resistance prevent delamination in buried sewage tanks over the long term.

Toughness & Stress Resistance

Toughness and stress resistance minimize the risk of cracking in pressurized or buried tanks.

Multi-Layer Compatibility

Suitable for both liner and structural layers, simplifying raw material inventory for tank production.

Cost-Effective Production

Cost-effective solution for moderate corrosion environments with controllable mass production costs.
