Craft-grade crystal resin is a thermosetting resin—primarily unsaturated polyester resin, with epoxy resin used to a lesser extent—specifically designed for both artisanal creation and mass production of handicrafts. At room temperature, it exists as a colorless, transparent (or colorable) viscous liquid; it requires the addition of initiators and accelerators to undergo the curing reaction. Once cured, it forms a material with a crystal-clear, lustrous texture that rivals natural crystal, while also offering excellent processability and stability.

This unsaturated polyester resin is specifically engineered for button production via sheet casting and compression molding.

It serves as the core base material for manufacturing a wide range of buttons—including pearlescent, jade-effect, horn-effect, and transparent colored styles, as well as buttons for shirts, coats, luggage, footwear, and headwear.
