Woven Roving Mat (Sandwich Fabric Complex)
The Woven Roving Mat, also known as Sandwich Fabric Complex Mat, is an innovative multi-layer composite reinforcement. It is meticulously constructed by mechanically stitching multiple layers together with high-strength polyester thread, completely eliminating the need for chemical binders.
This unique architecture features exceptionally small gaps between the fibers, which drastically accelerates the wet-out speed and significantly reduces the amount of resin required. By simplifying the manufacturing process, it greatly improves productivity and lowers overall production costs.
Offering superior compatibility with polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, and phenolic resins, this complex mat is widely utilized in hand lay-up, RTM (Resin Transfer Molding), and other closed-mold reinforcement processes. Typical high-performance applications include FRP boat hulls, automotive housings and doors, advanced laminates, cooling apparatus, and heavy-duty structural shapes.
