PP Core Mat Overview

POLEMA PLM-180 and PLM-250 are premium non-woven PP core mats specifically engineered as the ultimate flow medium for manufacturing high-quality fiberglass sandwich mats (commonly known as flow mats). Made of continuous needle-punched chopped polypropylene fiber strands, this core material is designed for optimal compatibility with fibreglass polyester resin, vinyl ester, and epoxy resin systems.

By providing excellent resin permeability, our PP core significantly accelerates fast resin infusion speed and reduces overall resin consumption. It is highly suitable for closed-mold molding processes such as RTM (Resin Transfer Molding), vacuum infusion, as well as traditional hand lay-up. This makes it an indispensable core material for fabricating lightweight, high-strength composite structures, including boat hulls, wind turbine nacelle covers, automotive components, flat profiles, and advanced sports equipment.

3.General Data

Instructions for Use and Storage Conditions

Roll width: Standard width in 1270mm, 2800mm, and other sizes depends on customer's real needs, available in 200mm to 3300mm.

Packing: PP core material is usually rolled in a paper tube with inner diameter 76mm. The roll is warped with plastic film, then put into carton. Lay the rolls horizontally, and can be loaded on pallets and bulk in container.

Storage: The product should be stored in a cool, water-proof area. It is recommended that the room temperature and humidity be always maintained at 15℃ to 35℃ and 35% to 65% respectively. Please keep the product in its original packaging before being used, avoiding moisture absorption.
