PLM-1001 Resin for Hand Lay-up and Filament Winding Processes
This product is an unsaturated polyester resin specifically formulated for hand lay-up and filament winding processes. It is precisely tailored to the operational requirements of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) manufacturing, balancing ease of application with the structural stability of the finished product. Molding can be accomplished without the need for complex machinery, making it widely applicable in the production of various hand lay-up FRP items.
The resin's viscosity is optimized for manual brush application, troweling, laminating, and filament winding techniques. It exhibits moderate flow properties—neither running excessively nor piling up—and ensures rapid, thorough wetting of reinforcing materials such as fiberglass cloth and mats. It effectively facilitates the release of trapped air bubbles, thereby preventing defects such as voids, delamination, and pinholes in the finished product; the cured structure is dense, with a smooth and even surface finish. Furthermore, the curing process is gradual and generates low exothermic heat, minimizing the risk of issues such as cracking or warping. Once cured, the resin demonstrates exceptional mechanical strength, toughness, and resistance to weathering and corrosion, enabling it to withstand prolonged exposure to outdoor environments and general chemical media.

Curing conditions: Room temperature curing for 24 hours, post-curing at 60℃ for 3 hours and at 100℃ for 2 hours.
